I'm sorry it has taken so long for an update but there wasn't much change until today. Scott went up there this morning and Chris opened his eyes. Scott asked him if he knew it was his Dad to squeeze his hand and he did. Then he told him you know I love you and Chris nodded.
He's not off the respirator yet because of the pneumonia and a bacterial infection. But he's making progress. God is so awesome. The nurse today was the same one as Saturday and she doesn't want him uncomfortable because of the tubes. So after that she sedated him again.
Scott has had to go back to work this week. But after his visit today he felt alot better about it. He will see him again Friday. If I hear of any progress before then I will let everyone know.
Prayers are definetly being answered. Thank ya'll so much for the prayers and encouraging words.
That sounds like great progress. I will continue to keep Chris in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteI have been away from my computer for a few days, so I was thrilled to read the progress that Chris has made. I will continue to pray for him, and your family. Sometimes, the family needs prayers as much as the patient, I know from experience. I've been there before. Take care. To quote the words of a friend who recently passed away "God is able."
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful news. So glad to see the progress he is making! : )
